Mr. Bug's whole life in agonizing detail, or maybe not...Just some highlights:
- Did we mention the geocaching obession? He now has 3 GPSr's!
- Reformed distance runner. 13 marathons and 5 Ultramarathons, including a second place AG finish in the USATF SunMart 50K championships at Brownsville, TX in 1996. Ms. Bug was his pacer at the White River 50 mile endurance run. Truly unforgettable.
- Gave up ultras to become a pole vaulter at age 50. All American for the last 3 years. Silver medalist at the USATF Masters 2005 National Championships.
- USATF certified Track and Field official (Pole Vault)
- Served six years as an Oregon Track Club Masters Board Member
- Twice served as Meet Director of the Hayward Classic
- Project Safe Place volunteer driver, assisting young people in at risk situations. Go to: www.safeplaceservices.org
- Four year Board Member of Looking Glass Youth and Family Services
- Development Director for the American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter
- Six appearances with the Eugene opera as a supernumerary. Latest part was with the Tacoma Opera's production of Carmen. Mr. Bug appeared in a non singing role as Lillas Pastia, the innkeeper.
